- SPECIES INFORMATION: HOLOGRAMS -
"What is a Hologram?"
A hologram, as the name would suggest, is a completely light-based humanoid, following the same design rules and resemblance to humans mentally-speaking. They are typically used for light duties such as office work and supervision.
"What specifically sets them apart from humans?"
Holograms, unlike Robots, are (nearly) physically intangible. Being made of light, by default they can be phased through. A Hologram has the ability to make themselves physically tangible to others if they want to be touched. Regardless of their physical state, they are affected by solid objects and can pick up items/walk/ect. just fine. Holograms cannot phase through solid objects entirely, as they have a physical crystal within their body that projects their form. Holograms also cannot cast shadows, rather, they give off subtle glows.
Holograms, if sustaining too much damage, can shut off their physical form and remain inside their crystal until they recover. The crystal itself is their 'brain'. If it is destroyed, the Hologram is dead and cannot be repaired. Slight damage can cause physical abnormalities such as flickering, missing parts and mental instability.
Holograms have the ability to create light-based items that have similar physical properties to themselves (Such as Further and his screens), though the more they have, the less power they put into their own body's projection. They can also change their physical appearance such as body type/size and similar, but cannot entirely shapeshift. This also expels energy and cannot be kept up forever.
Holograms cannot eat, as it would phase through them and go nowhere. They also cannot be in water, as it would cause light refraction that they can feel. It is very painful. They can, however, take splashes of water.
Similar to Robots, the given age of a Hologram does not equal how long they've been alive for, they are coded to be a certain age and remain that way permanently.
